Transportation - Gate House Hotel Eskdale
CAR From the south, Take the M6 and exit at junction 36 to join the A590 towards Barrow and the South Lakes. Branch off left, again on the A590, towards Barrow and the South Lakes. At Greenodd turn right onto the A595 (A5092 changes into the A595) signposted to Workington, continue for 11.2 miles, until you arrive at a set of traffic lights at a narrow bridge called Duddon Bridge. Turn right just before these lights onto a country road signposted to Ulpha - near Broughton in Furness (Not the Ulpha signposted just off the M6). Follow this road for 3.6 miles until you see a turning left, signposted to Eskdale and Whitehaven DO NOT MISS THIS TURNING. This road takes you across open moor land to the village of Eskdale Green. After 6 miles you will pass the King George IV pub on your left and continue over a hump-backed railway bridge. The entrance to Outward Bound is on your right 0.5 miles past the King George pub.
